| The end (in case anyone was wondering) |
[Aug. 1st, 2005|11:55 pm] |
For those who do not know, we are no longer together.
We just wanted to take this opportunity to let everyone who ever came to a show, listened to our music, talked to us, etc. know that we all had the best two years of our lives. I doubt many could fathom the feeling that we had when we looked out into a crowd of our friends (because thats what you all are!) cheering us on...even the shows that weren't so good.
We all just have the same feeling of accomplishment knowing that because we had such loyal people in our lives we were able to make music that we loved. Our hearts, our minds, and certainly our bodies (many scars and bruises can prove it) were absolutely poured into this band; all because we loved what we were doing. I promise that you will never find four guys that loved, or were more dedicated to a band in their lives...whether it was a good thing or not, everything else in our lives took a backseat to what we churned away at in Jeff's basement for two years.
We can't express to you enough our absolute love for the all-encompassing experience that The Shoreline Cinema gave us, be it the people, the music, the bands, the venues...Everything.
Albert, Nick, and Jeff are back in Atlanta working on a new project with some other very talented guys; check back here for some updates on all of that.
Jordan will be working on some solo stuff, as he makes his move out west later this week. Any progress on that can be found here as well.
It's always hard to say goodbye, but when bands die out, their music lives on!
Thank you for the best two years of our lives!
With all of our love,
Albert, Nick, Jeff, and Jordan

We decided that we were sick of not having things for you all to listen to...so we posted the rest of the EP on purevolume (www.purevolume.com/theshorelinecinema), unmixed/unmastered/no vocals...so its not great, but its something...right?

So we had alot of fun this past weekend playing The Penny II. Thanks to those of you that stuck around to watch us play (which is pretty much just Sarah, who is local up there, ha). We have some video from the show, so who knows, maybe one of these days we'll do something with it (i.e. let you see it).
We are currently awaiting the mixes of the CD/EP. Don't forget about it, because even if you don't like it, where else will you hear of a CD with a cooler name (The Land De Las Hambuguesas)?
We also have our new promo shots done, and they up at our purevolume site (www.purevolume.com/theshorelinecinema), our myspace (www.myspace.com/users/theshorelinecinema), and soon to be our website (www.theshorelinecinema.com).
Show updates coming soon, but so far we are confirmed to play the YMCA's BATTLE OF THE BANDS on the 26th of this Month (I think its the 26th, whichever day is a Saturday). We NEED you all to come out to that show!! There will, however, be some shows sprinkled in the mix between now and then.
Cheers,
Jordan |

[Feb. 7th, 2005|10:19 pm] |
last night was pretty amazing.
Seriously guys, having all of you at the show was amazing...
I don't think any of us can really express our gratitude and love for all of you for singing along, dancing, cheering, and all the other things that you all did, but just on a side note: We will always hate you for making us play AUTUMN NIGHTS!
So, last night was so much fun, and we hope to play the Y again soon, because its obvious that we can draw a much bigger crowd when we are in the hometown, representin'.
That being said, we got ALOT done yesterday, including a CRAZY photo shoot that inflicted alot of pain among all of us. I never want to stand still again.
The next show is at the Penny II in Clarkesville, Ga. Long drive, but its a great line-up and a terrific little town. So if you are all willing to make the drive, we are willing to take our shirts off and give you sweaty hugs afterward.
Be good.

| It was a grand time last night... |
[Feb. 4th, 2005|09:40 am] |
Thanks to those of you who came to support us, it was really nice to see some familiar faces! We all felt much better about this performance as opposed to the last time we played there (which we don't talk about too much). We even debuted a song we wrote the day before (which may, or may not have been such a good idea)! So, despite my inevitable guitar cable problems, Jeff's really loud set, my indistinguishable vocals (often times out of key), and a set played fairly sloppy, we all had a really great time!
We hope to see you all out at the YMCA TEEN CENTER in Alpharetta this Saturday!
Hope all is well on the homefront.
Cheers,
Jordan |

www.theshorelinecinema.com is back up after almost a year of being the same crap...Its a basic design, but a new on nonetheless! Its even got Jimmy Page on it until we get new pictures!!
Due to the weather this saturday, the YMCA show will be next weekend, same time and info, just a week later.
Don't forget, this wed. night we're at the masquerade. E-mail us for tickets (theshorelinecinema@yahoo.com)

| SHOW TOMORROW NIGHT! |
[Jan. 29th, 2005|10:10 am] |
Hey all,
Don't forget about the show tomorrow night at the Alpharetta YMCA. If you don't have any directions or anything you can email us at TheShorelineCinema@yahoo.com, or you could just do a google search for the Ed Isakson YMCA in Alpharetta (its on Preston Ridge). From the sounds of it, this will be a pretty big show, which, needless to say, is quite exciting for us! I gotta print out our tickets for the masquerade on Weds. of next week (2.2.05), and we will be selling tickets for that show at the YMCA show.
So remember, this Saturday night, YMCA, show starts at like 7:00, but there is alot of time between the three bands playing, so if you are only wanting to see us, we go on around 10:00.
We hope to see you all there! We also thank you all in advance for coming. ha.
Cheers,
Jordan |

[Jan. 18th, 2005|09:47 am] |
We are playing the grand opening of the YMCA Teen Center (in Alpharetta) on Saturday 1/29. 5 bucks if you're not a member of the Y. We'll be playing around 10 pm, so I hope you can all plan on making it. For those who don't know how to get there, it is pretty easy: You go toward 400 on Old Milton Pkwy. At the North Point Pkway. intersection, you take a right onto North Point Pkway. Your second right is a drive showing signs for the YMCA and Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, take the right and follow the signs. We are also playing the Masquerade (as I have previously mentioned) on Weds. 2/2. Doors open at 7 pm, with the first band playing between 7:45-8. We look to be the second slot in Heaven (upstairs), so we would probably play around 8:30 or so. Tickets are 6 bucks if you order them through us. Contact us at TheShorelineCinema@yahoo.com

[Jan. 12th, 2005|01:21 pm] |
It looks as if the last part of Jan. and the whole month of Feb. will be pretty busy for us.
We are reviewing CD covers tonight, hoping to find "the one".
We are finishing up the actual recording.
We are playing the Masquerade on Feb. 2nd...it's a wednesday night, but there will be so much to see! Bands will be playing all night in both heaven and hell! (we requested to play hell).
We have a few other big shows we are looking at doing, but we haven't confirmed any just yet, so we are waiting to see.
E-mail us at TheShorelineCinema@yahoo.com for questions, comments, bookings, etc.
Thanks guys!

| News and other fun things... |
[Jan. 5th, 2005|10:32 pm] |
Happy New Year to all! Hope everyone is able to fulfill their resolutions, and if not, there is always next year...
Now down to business:
We need a web designer! Someone cheap, talented, workable, honest, etc... Please contact us at theshorelinecinema@yahoo.com if you fit this description. We will then talk...
Also, we are all deeply saddened and troubled by the tragedy that has taken place in and around Asia (the Tsunami), though there is little we can do physically, we can always raise money...We are working on getting together a benefit show for this cause in the coming weeks/month, so we will keep you posted.
Otherwise, we are pretty excited about this new CD. We are looking for someone to do the artwork for it also, so all inquiries refer back to our e-mail address (theshorelinecinema@yahoo.com), we can compensate with a free CD, ha. Vocals will be started this week, and HOPEFULLY completed in these next two weeks.
Email us. Tell us whats going on. Ask us whats going on.
Cheers,
Jordan |

| last night was amazing! |
[Dec. 14th, 2004|11:02 am] |
Hello everyone!
All we can say is THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Those of you who drove all the way to Marietta to see us (especially for the short set at 4:00 pm) were so awesome. It was really nice to have some kids that we actually knew there! Overall, we were really happy with how we played (despite one song that we kinda biffed both shows)! We feel we redeemed ourselves after the last show at the Penny II (And thank you for not coming to that, it was bad!). I think we were all a bit nervous before these shows, because while it didn't mean much to the crowd, we really had to prove to ourselves that we could put on a good show, while still playing good music. So we played the new songs that we have worked on this last month and a half or so, and felt pretty good about them. I am sorry for rambling, I'm really sick (got a cold from all the time outside yesterday), and should probably go back to bed.
We love you guys (and girls).
Cheers,
Jordan |

[Dec. 9th, 2004|10:50 am] |
Sorry to anyone that still reads this in hopes of an update...
Heres the deal:
We have two shows on Saturday, Dec. 11th (yeah, two days from now...sorry).
Albert has all the information on the second show (a house show at 7:00pm, with Naive). All I really know is that these shows are in the east Cobb/Marietta area, but we'd love to have anyone come and support us (even though it might be a drive for some)! Our first show (@ 4:00 pm) is at:
1403 Drexel Court Marietta, Ga 30068 (its a clubhouse).
So mapquest it, and bring 5 dollars for admission if you are interested in coming!
In other news...we are finishing our EP (no, not the one we initially planned on releasing, but decided to use it just as a demo instead), and we plan on releasing it early in the New Year. I am almost done with my guitars, and that, musically, is the last thing we need to do before we start on vocals.
Our new website is looking great, though it won't be up for another week or two...we reclaimed www.theshorelinecinema.com, so we are all pleased about that.
You can contact us now at TheShorelineCinema@Yahoo.com.
Thats all for now!
Cheers,
Jordan |
